Horseback Riding in San Lorenzo Natural Reserve

Your journey begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Salta at a time that suits you. We will then head by minibus to a riding center located just outside the city boundaries.

Once we arrive, you will meet your fellow travelers and prepare by equipping yourselves with the necessary riding gear. The excitement builds as we embark on our horseback adventure through the yungas jungle in the San Lorenzo Natural Reserve, renowned as one of Salta’s significant protected areas.

As we traverse various trails within the reserve, your specific riding proficiency will guide our route choices. Along the way, we will gain insights into the wildlife inhabiting the San Lorenzo Gorge. This biodiversity hotspot is a refuge for many species, including wild cats, weasels, and foxes.

Continuing our ride along other paths in the San Lorenzo reserve, we will be treated to views of the stunning ravines and vibrant jungle scenery. Did you know this yungas environment is recognized as part of the World Network of Biosphere Reserves?

At the end of our journey, we will return to the stable where we will bid farewell to the horses before taking the minibus back to Salta. You can expect to arrive at your hotel approximately four hours after your initial pickup.
