Do you like trying new flavours? At this cooking class in Salvador de Bahía, you'll learn to make traditional Afro-Brazilian dishes with a local family.
Description
At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your hotel in Salvador de Bahía. We'll begin by visiting the Fish Market to purchase ingredients for the class. During the visit, discussions will include traditional recipes in Bahía and the best fish for each dish, particularly the renowned moqueca, an Afro-Brazilian speciality we will prepare.
Next, we will head to the Rio Vermelho Market to buy fresh vegetables and fruit for an authentic caipirinha. This drink is named after the caipiras, the native people of the rural area of São Paulo.
After shopping, we will visit the house of an Afro-Brazilian family for the cooking class. After cooking, we will taste our dishes. In addition to the fish moqueca and the caipirinha, our meal will include beans, rice, farofa and plantain jam.
We will conclude our experience with goodbyes at the starting point after 5 hours together.
