Salvador da Bahia is renowned for its stunning churches. This excursion to the Bonfim church and the Irmã Dulce sanctuary will allow us to explore some of its most significant religious sites.

Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Salvador da Bahia between 12:30 pm and 2 pm, as we head towards the city's most striking Catholic establishments, noted for their remarkable architecture.

Our first stop will be the Basilica of Our Lady of the Conception, a magnificent baroque-style structure that took over 100 years to complete using imported stones from Portugal. Here, we will admire the intricate carving of Bahia's patron saint.

Next, we will visit the sanctuary of Irmã Dulce, regarded as Brazil's first saint. While touring this temple, also referred to as the church of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, we will delve into her inspiring story.

Continuing our spiritual journey, we will explore the area known as Sacred Hill, home to the church of Our Lord of Bonfim. In this site, you’ll notice colorful ribbons adorning the perimeter; these strips are tied by worshippers seeking protection, blessings, or good fortune. Feel free to tie one of your own if you wish!

Our tour will conclude with a return to your hotel in Salvador, arriving around 6:30 pm.
