Salvador da Bahia is a city with magnificent churches. We'll discover a few of the most important on this tour of the Bonfim church and the Irmã Dulce sanctuary.

Bonfim Church & Irmã Dulce Sanctuary tour

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Salvador da Bahia between 12:30 pm and 2 pm to visit the main Catholic temples of the city, known for their imposing designs.

First, we'll make a brief stop in front of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Conception, a baroque-style temple built over 100 years with stones from Portugal, where we will observe the carving of the patron saint of Bahia.

Next, we will visit the sanctuary of Irmã Dulce, the first Brazilian saint, and learn her story in the temple, also known as the church of the Immaculate Conception of Mary.

Our tour continues at the Sacred Hill, home to the church of Our Lord of Bonfim, where we will see colorful ribbons tied by the faithful for protection, blessing, or good luck. You can tie one on if you wish!

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Salvador, arriving by 6:30 pm.
