On this night tour of Pelourinho, we'll visit the most important historic area in Salvador de Bahia and attend an Afro-Catholic mass!

Night Tour Details

We'll pick you up at the scheduled time from your hotel in Salvador de Bahia to begin this night tour of Pelourinho, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Firstly, we will proceed to the Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Pretos Church, an 18th-century building located on the Pelourinho hillsides. Here, we will attend an Afro-Catholic mass, blending elements of African religions with dance and music to honour Saint Anthony and his ancestors.

After the ceremony, we will continue exploring Pelourinho, admiring the illuminated streets and discussing the celebrations in honour of Ogun, a deity of African origin in Afro-Brazilian religions. This celebration occurs on Blessing Tuesday, a tradition over 60 years old, integral to Salvador's musical identity.

The tour will also include visits to different bars, restaurants, and food stalls in Pelourinho.

We will conclude the tour and return to the hotels in Salvador after 4 hours together.
