Pelourinho Night Tour

On this night tour of Pelourinho, we'll visit the most important historic area in Salvador de Bahia and attend an Afro-Catholic mass.

Night Tour Details

We'll pick you up at the scheduled time from your hotel in Salvador de Bahia to begin the night tour of Pelourinho, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We will start by visiting the Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Pretos Church, built in the 18th century, where we will attend an Afro-Catholic mass that incorporates elements of African religions, dance, and music to honour Saint Anthony and his ancestors.

After the ceremony, we'll continue our tour, admiring the illuminated streets of Pelourinho. We will learn about the celebration for Ogun, a deity of African origin, which is celebrated on the notable Blessing Tuesday, a tradition over 60 years old. This will provide insight into Salvador's musical identity.

The tour will then take us to various bars, restaurants, and food stalls in Pelourinho.

Finally, we will return to the hotels in Salvador after 4 hours together.
