Salvador da Bahia Historic Centre & Barra Lighthouse Tour

Between 6:30 and 8:00 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in central Salvador da Bahia. At 9 am, we'll set off on our tour of the historic centre of a city with a mix of different cultures.

The first stop will be the iconic lighthouse in the Barra neighbourhood, a site where the city's independence was declared. Next, we'll proceed to Pelourinho, historically an upper-class residential area and a significant location of punishment during the colonial era. After the abolition of slavery, it transformed into a cultural hub for artists.

While in the historic centre, we'll visit Praça da Sé and the monumental Terreiro de Jesus, established by the Jesuits. We'll also see the Church of São Pedro dos Clérigos and the Church of São Domingos Gusmão. During the visits, we will learn about their historic and cultural significance in Salvador da Bahia.

At 1 pm, we'll return to your hotel and conclude the tour.
