Description
At the indicated time, we'll gather in front of the Casa do Benin Museum to start this gastronomic tour of Salvador.
After a brief introduction to the culinary wonders of Salvador, referred to as the "Black Rome," we'll stroll through Santo Antonio. Our first stop will be the Casa da Vovó restaurant, where we'll taste acarajé, a dish made from bean dough, recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Salvador.
Next, we will visit the Zanzibar Restaurant, popular among bohemian artists who often perform songs from legends like Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil. In this musical setting, we'll enjoy a traditional ginger smoothie and the ambiance of Northern Brazilian musical styles.
To conclude this three-hour food tour of Salvador de Bahia, we'll visit Bar Ulisses, where we’ll indulge in a seasonal traditional dish, which may include moqueca, feijoada, or cocido.
