Scuba Dive for Beginners

If you have never tried Scuba Diving, but would love to find out what it's all about, then this basic initiation course is the perfect introduction for you. We will take you into the depths of the magical ocean that surrounds Porto da Barra.

What to expect

From the meeting point, we will head to the Porto da Barra beach, where we will board a boat which will take us out into the high seas.

Upon reaching the stunning Santa Maria coral reef, you will discover a huge variety of marine life. A professional instructor will provide you with the basic instructions necessary to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable diving experience.

Next, we will equip you with the wetsuit, flippers, goggles, and oxygen tank, and conduct an initial practice session in the water. Once fully prepared, we will slowly start to descend into the ocean, reaching a depth of around 30 feet (10 meters). Your underwater adventure will last approximately 40 to 50 minutes.

At the conclusion of the diving activity, you will receive a souvenir photo of your dive to cherish this experience.

Important information

Children under 10 years old and pregnant women cannot participate in this activity.It is not advisable to consume alcoholic drinks in the 24 hours prior to your dive.After the activity, please wait at least 12 hours before taking a flight due to pressure changes.

How does it work?

This initiation course offers a structured approach to your first scuba diving experience. You will meet at the designated point before heading to the beach. A boat will take you to the coral reef site. Users are equipped with diving gear after instruction and practice to ensure safety and confidence in the water.

Meeting point

Participants will meet at the designated point, from where transportation to the diving location will commence. Details and directions will be provided upon booking.
