Scuba Dive for Beginners

If you have never tried Scuba Diving, the basic initiation course is an introduction for you. The activity takes place in the ocean surrounding Porto da Barra.

What to expect

From the meeting point, we will head to Porto da Barra beach, where we will board a boat to the Santa Maria coral reef. Here, a professional instructor will provide basic instructions for a safe diving experience, allowing you to explore a variety of marine life.

You will be equipped with a wetsuit, flippers, goggles, and an oxygen tank before an initial practice session in the water. Once ready, you will descend into the ocean to a depth of around 30 feet (10 meters). The underwater experience will last for approximately 40 or 50 minutes.

At the end of the diving activity, you will receive a souvenir photo of your dive.

Important information

Children under 10 years old and pregnant women cannot participate in this activity.Alcoholic drinks should not be consumed in the 24 hours prior to your dive.After the activity, wait 12 hours before flying in an airplane due to pressure changes.
