Embark on a journey into the heart of the Candomblé religion, exploring its history and African traditions in northeastern Brazil.

Tour Highlights

We will pick you up from your hotel in Salvador de Bahia at the scheduled time to begin our exploration of Candomblé. Our first stop will be the Afro-Brazilian Museum, where we will examine the historical context and cultural evolution post-slavery. Next, we will visit the Pierre Verger Gallery, showcasing the work of the French anthropologist through his photographic archives.

Our tour will include a visit to a Terreiro, a sacred space for Candomblé rituals, providing insight into its spiritual and ancestral customs. We will discuss the connection between nature's spirit and human soul, and explore concepts related to orishas, voduns, and nkisis.

Finally, we will take a guided tour of the Liberdades neighborhood, examining the changes in the favela and quilombola communities. Our experience will conclude four hours after its start, returning you to the initial meeting point.
