Embark on a journey into the heart of the Candomblé religion, exploring its rich history and African traditions in northeastern Brazil.

Tour Highlights

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Salvador de Bahia to explore the Candomblé religion. Immerse yourself in the African belief system prevalent in Northeast Brazil.

Our first stop is the Afro-Brazilian Museum, where we will examine the cultural evolution of the state post-slavery. Next, we'll visit the Pierre Verger Gallery, curated by the French anthropologist, showcasing his photographic archives from this transformative period.

Continuing our tour, we will enter a Terreiro, a sacred space for Candomblé rituals. Here, we will gain insights into the spiritual practices and ancestral customs that characterize this belief system. Learn about the connection between nature's spirit and the human soul, and explore topics such as orishas, voduns, and nkisis.

To conclude, we will undertake a guided tour of the Liberdades neighborhood, observing the urban and cultural changes in the favela and quilombola communities.

As our journey concludes, we will return you to the starting point four hours after the adventure began.
