Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at Hubert-Sattler-Gasse 1 and leave Salzburg to drive to the Berchtesgaden salt mines.

On the way, we'll pass the Königseeache river and the mountainous Obersalzberg, where leaders of the Third Reich lived. Upon arrival, we'll don miner's costumes to explore the subway world.

During the tour, we'll walk through the corridors used by workers, explaining the mineral extraction process, the day-to-day life of the miners, and associated risks. You can slide down the mining slides, adding to the experience.

To conclude the mine visit, we'll board a wooden raft for a ride on a salt lake. We'll travel through the subway labyrinths again aboard the mining train before heading back to the surface.

Before returning to Salzburg, we'll stop in the village of Berchtesgaden, and then return to the starting point, completing the tour in a total of 4 hours.
