Visit the famous Eagle's Nest, the residence used by Hitler to meet with Nazi leaders, and immerse yourself in world history while enjoying the surrounding areas.

Eagle’s Nest Day Trip

We'll gather at the designated time at Hubert-Sattler-Gasse and board a bus to travel south towards the German border, leaving Salzburg behind. The journey takes approximately one hour as we cross the Bavarian Alps.

Upon arrival, we'll proceed to the Eagle's Nest, located at an altitude of 1820 meters (6,000 feet). This site was constructed as a gift from the Nazi party to celebrate Hitler's 50th birthday.

We'll access the Kehlsteinhaus via mountain-side tunnels until we reach the brass elevator that transported Nazi and international leaders to meet with the Führer.

As we explore the rooms of the complex, our guide will provide insights into the impact of the meetings held at the Eagle's Nest during World War II. Additionally, we will enjoy magnificent views of the cliffs from the complex, merging history with nature.

Before returning to Salzburg, we'll stop in the German town of Berchtesgaden, allowing for around 30 minutes of free time to explore. After a 4.5-hour tour, we'll return to our starting point.
