Eagle’s Nest Day Trip

We'll gather at the designated time at Hubert-Sattler-Gasse and take a bus to the German border, leaving Salzburg behind. The journey lasts one hour, during which we will traverse the Bavarian Alps.

Upon arrival, we will enter the Eagle's Nest, located at an altitude of 1820 meters (6,000 feet), constructed as a gift from the Nazi party for Hitler's 50th birthday.

Access to the Kehlsteinhaus is via mountain-side tunnels leading to the brass elevator used by Nazi and international leaders to meet the Führer. Our exploration will cover the rooms of the complex, where our guide will discuss the significance of the meetings held here during World War II. Views from the complex offer a blend of history and nature.

Before returning to Salzburg, we will stop in the German town of Berchtesgaden, allowing approximately 30 minutes of free time to explore.

After a 4.5-hour tour, we will return to our starting point.
