Visit the famous Eagle's Nest, the residence used by Hitler to meet with Nazi leaders, and immerse yourself in world history as you enjoy the surrounding areas.

Eagle’s Nest Day Trip

We'll gather at the designated time at Hubert-Sattler-Gasse and travel by bus south towards the German border, departing from Salzburg. The one-hour journey will take us through the Bavarian Alps.

Upon arrival, we'll ascend to Eagle's Nest, located at an altitude of 1820 meters (6,000 feet). This construction was a gift from the Nazi party for Hitler's 50th birthday.

Access to the Kehlsteinhaus involves navigating mountain-side tunnels to reach the brass elevator once used by Nazi and international leaders to meet the Führer.

As we explore the site, our guide will discuss the significance of the meetings held in the Eagle's Nest during World War II. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the cliffs, blending history with nature.

Before returning to Salzburg, we'll stop in the German town of Berchtesgaden for approximately 30 minutes of free time to explore the area.

After a 4.5-hour tour, we'll return to our starting point.
