Eagle’s Nest Day Trip
We'll gather at the designated time at Hubert-Sattler-Gasse and take a bus toward the German border, leaving Salzburg behind. The one-hour journey will traverses the Bavarian Alps.
Upon arrival, we will head into the Eagle's Nest, located at an altitude of 1820 meters (6,000 feet). This site was constructed as a gift from the Nazi party for Hitler's 50th birthday.
Access to the Kehlsteinhaus is through mountain-side tunnels that lead to the brass elevator used by Nazi and international leaders to meet with the Führer.
While exploring the complex's rooms, our guide will provide insights on the significance of the meetings held at the Eagle's Nest during World War II. Visitors can also enjoy magnificent views of the cliffs, merging history with nature.
Before returning to Salzburg, we will stop in the German town of Berchtesgaden for approximately 30 minutes of free time to explore this charming town.
After a 4.5-hour tour, we will return to our starting point.
