Your adventure will commence with a pickup from your hotel in San Agustín at the scheduled time, leading us to two of the most significant archaeological locations in Huila. You may select your mode of transport: either car or minibus, or opt for a unique horseback ride.
We will first visit Tablón, renowned for its remarkable monoliths and stone carvings. During our time here, we’ll delve into questions surrounding their sculptors and the meanings behind these ancient artworks.
Next, we will proceed to the Chaquira viewpoint, arguably the best vantage point for witnessing the magnificent Magdalena River canyon, alongside breathtaking waterfalls and archaeological remnants.
Our journey continues to the slopes of La Pelota and El Purutal, where you will encounter various intriguing funerary monuments. Here, we'll take a moment to appreciate how time has influenced these historical carvings.
In conclusion, we will return to San Agustín and drop you off at your hotel approximately 3-4 hours after the initial pickup.
