On this private tour in San Agustín, we'll explore Colombia's archaeological capital and discover Precolombian culture. We'll also visit the Salto del Mortiño Waterfall.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in San Agustín to start a route around this region. Our first stop will be Estrecho del Magdalena, the most important river in Colombia, which crosses the country from south to north and ends in the Caribbean Sea.
Next, we'll visit the Obando Museum and Archaeological Park, noted for its indigenous archaeological heritage. Here, you can see underground tombs, cave paintings, and various prehispanic objects.
We will proceed to the Alto de los Ídolos Archaeological Park, a World Heritage Site, home to 23 statues significant to the archaeological zone of San Agustín.
We will also visit the Alto de las Piedras Archaeological Park, which is known for its conservation of the original paintings of its sculptures.
The final stop will be the Salto del Mortiño Waterfall, featuring a waterfall over 200 metres (656 feet) tall. The Glass viewpoint offers a unique view of this fall.
After 8 hours of exploring this area, we will drop you back off at your hotel.
