On this visit to the Tierra Activa farm, you'll spend a day with a local family, who will show you around their farm and immerse you in their way of life, land, and rural traditions.

Tierra Activa Farm Tour

At the scheduled time, we will meet at the Tierra Activa farm, where the hosts, mother and daughter, will welcome you with freshly harvested fruit.

You will explore the aspects of life on the farm, including a kitchen with a wood stove and the preparation of sancocho, a traditional stew.

You will receive hats, baskets, machetes, and walking sticks for a guided walk along the farm's trails, learning about various plants and vegetables. You will have opportunities to taste fruit and climb a treehouse for views of the Huila landscape.

The tour includes observing plant cultivation and participating in a prayer to Pachamama, thanking her for the growth of the farm's bounty.

After the ceremony, we will visit the farm's vegetable gardens, aromatic and medicinal plant crops, and the Tierra Activa coffee plantation, where you will see how beans are fermented, selected, and dried.

The activity concludes with a cup of organic coffee or cocoa along with bread and handmade arepas. If you selected the meal option, a menu with farm products will be served.

The immersive experience ends two hours after the start of the tour.
