Cayo Acuario Day Trip

At the scheduled time, we'll gather at the pier of the Casa de la Cultura in San Andres. From there, we'll board a boat for a short cruise heading south. While passing through the area's mangroves, keep an eye out for the various species of iguanas, lizards, and the range of native birds that inhabit this unique environment!

Once we leave the mangroves behind, we'll set sail for Cayo Acuario, also referred to as Rose Cay or simply "The Aquarium." This beautiful sandbank is renowned for its extraordinary variety of tropical fish swimming in its crystal-clear turquoise waters.

You will enjoy approximately two hours of free time at Cayo Acuario. Feel free to sunbathe on the warm white sands, swim in the transparent Caribbean Sea, or even venture over to Haynes Cay, a sandy stretch lined with palm trees where local food stalls await for your lunch break.

Your day trip will conclude after approximately 5.5 hours of activities, bringing you back to the Portofino Pier in San Andres.
