PADI Open Water Diving Course

Are you in San Andrés and want to earn your official diving certification? This PADI Open Water Course will allow you to dive worldwide down to 18 metres (60 feet) and explore the Caribbean underwater world over 3 days.

Options

When booking the PADI Open Water Course, choose between the Basic and Advanced courses, each lasting 3 days and including in-person and virtual theory classes and exercises. After booking, visit the diving centre for your access to the online learning platform. The certification permits diving globally to a maximum of 18 metres (60 feet).

Basic Course

We will collect you from your hotel in San Andrés to take you to the diving centre for theory lessons. In the Basic Diving Course, you'll learn to float and regulate breathing underwater.

On the first day, the instructor will cover equipment handling and proper entry and exit from the water. You will learn to use the equipment and perform a dive to 10 metres (33 feet) for about 35 to 45 minutes.

On the second day, you will complete 2 dives lasting 35 minutes to an hour to improve underwater autonomy.

On the third day, you will test your skills by diving to 18 metres (60 feet). If you pass both practical and online assessments, you will receive your official PADI Open Water Certificate.

Advanced Course

We will take you from your hotel in San Andrés to the diving centre for foundational diving techniques. The Advanced PADI Open Water course involves similar theory and exercises as the Basic, but the final dive corresponds to one of the specialty options:
