PADI Open Water Diving Course

Are you in San Andrés and want to earn your official diving certification? This PADI Open Water Course allows you to dive worldwide up to 18 metres (60 feet) and explore the Colombian Caribbean over 3 days.

Options

When booking your PADI Open Water Course, choose between two options lasting 3 days with in-person and virtual theory classes and exercises required for course completion. After booking, visit the diving centre for passwords to access the online learning platform. Certification allows global diving to a maximum of 18 metres (60 feet).

Basic Course

We will collect you from your hotel in San Andrés and take you to the diving centre for theory lessons. In the PADI Open Water Basic Diving Course, you'll learn how to float and regulate breathing underwater.

On the first day, the instructor will demonstrate how to handle diving equipment and enter and exit the water. You'll practice using the equipment and basic underwater skills, culminating in your first open water dive to 10 metres (33 feet) lasting around 35 to 45 minutes.

On the second day, you'll perform 2 more dives lasting 35 minutes to an hour to enhance your underwater autonomy.

On the third day, you’ll wear wetsuits and conduct a dive of 18 metres (60 feet). Completing both practical and online components qualifies you for the official PADI Open Water Certificate.

Advanced Course

We will collect you from your hotel in San Andrés and instruct you on fundamental diving techniques. The Advanced PADI Open Water course has the same theory and exercises as the basic option, but the final dive aligns with a chosen specialty option.
