Description

At the appointed time, we will convene at the specified location to embark on a day immersed in Gaucho heritage within the historic confines of San Antonio de Areco. This site is known as the birthplace of the first Argentine Gauchos.

The journey begins with a guided exploration of San Antonio de Areco, which should be on every itinerary for understanding the colonial architecture and local artisan workshops. Often described as one of the most picturesque towns in the Argentine Pampas, it certainly lives up to this reputation.

Throughout our tour, we will visit the San Antonio de Padua church and various workshops, especially renowned for silversmithing and leatherwork. Our next destination will be Estancia El Ombú de Areco, where we'll truly immerse ourselves in the heart of Gaucho culture.

While there, we will meet the resident Gauchos and partake in a delightful meal featuring savory empanadillas, grilled meats, and an array of traditional desserts.

Once satisfied, you’ll have the choice of a horseback or carriage ride across 300 hectares (741 acres), providing a unique perspective on the essence of rural Argentina, home to cattle, sheep, horses, and a diverse array of birds.

The experience continues as we delve deeper into Gaucho traditions with classical guitar performances and engaging in folk dances. Additionally, don't miss out on the chance to witness exciting equestrian displays, including the Indian dressage and the Troop, which is sure to captivate you!

After a fulfilling 10 hours of authentic Gaucho culture, our adventure will come to a close.
