Leave urban Quito behind and lose yourself in Ecuador's natural beauty. Discover Cotopaxi, one of the world's highest active volcanoes, and marvel at the turquoise waters of Quilotoa Lagoon, a volcanic caldera.

Cotopaxi & Quilotoa Volcanoes Excursion

We'll pick you up in Quito at the indicated time and head south on the Pan-American Highway. During the tour, you'll admire the Andes ecosystems and landscapes and have the opportunity to drink local tea that prevents altitude sickness. Devices to measure the pressure will be available for your convenience.

The first stop will be in Cotopaxi National Park, Ecuador's second most important tourist attraction. You will visit the park’s museum and the Limpiopungo Lagoon. A relaxed walk (if weather conditions allow) will take you to a forest of chuquiragas, native to the Andes.

Next, you'll head to Quilotoa Volcano, known for its turquoise water-filled caldera formed after a past eruption. A short hike (dependent on weather) will bring you to the Quilotoa viewpoint for panoramic views of Quilotoa Lagoon.

You will have free time for lunch (not included) before returning to Quito, where we'll arrive approximately 12 hours after pickup.
