Experience the Middle of the World with a day trip to the Intiñán Solar Museum. You will visit ancient huts and a totemic forest.

Tour Details

We will meet at your selected meeting point and depart for the Intiñán Solar Museum, a key exhibition in Quito. This museum, known as the Museum of Equinoctial Solar Culture, allows you to understand that you are in the Middle of the World through experiments, games, and exhibits related to historical civilizations in South America.

During the visit, we will explore centuries-old huts with reconstructions of traditional artifacts, learning about ancient daily life. The tour also includes a visit to the museum’s totemic forest.

To demonstrate that Ecuador is at Latitude Zero, you will participate in activities such as balancing eggs and engaging in experiments that only occur in Quito. Following the museum, we will visit the city's foremost monument, the Mitad del Mundo, concluding our tour after exploring the site.

This tour includes pickup and drop–off at select hotels in Quito: Hilton Colon, Mercure Alameda, Reina Isabel, Rio Amazonas, Un House, Swissotel, NH Collection, KAIA, Holiday Inn, J-W. Marriott, Wyndham Garden, Dann Carlton, Le Parc, and Sheraton.

If you are not at these hotels, the meeting point will be the JW Marriott Hotel at 2 pm.
