Day Trip Details
We will pick you up from your hotel in Quito at the designated time, then we will head north on the Pan-American Highway to Cayambe, surrounded by high mountains. A stop will be made to taste the traditional Ecuadorian bizcocho de Cayambe, which consists of wood-oven baked pastries served with mozzarella-style soft cheese or dulce de leche.
Next, we will visit the "Miralago" viewpoint for panoramic views of San Pablo Lake, Imbabura volcano, and the surrounding villages. The tour proceeds to Otavalo, known for its indigenous market.
We will then continue to the Peguche Waterfall, near Otavalo, before heading to the Ñanda Mañachi Cultural Center to learn about local artists' work.
Finally, we will visit the Otavalo market and enjoy a delicious lunch. Afterward, we will return to your hotel in Quito, with an expected arrival 8 hours after pickup.
