Papallacta Hot Springs Day Trip

The hot springs of Papallacta are a key attraction in Ecuador, offering spa pools and natural beauty. It is an essential visit from Quito.

Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, pickup will be from your hotel in Quito, and we will travel to the Papallacta Hot Springs, located 41 mi (67 km) east of the capital in the Andes.

During the journey, we will view mountain landscapes and may see local wildlife such as the spectacled bear. We will stop briefly at the Quijos viewpoint to see the Antisana volcano.

After about 1.5 hours, we will arrive in Papallacta, in Napo province, known for its natural environment and primary source of drinking water for Quito.

The main attraction will be the thermal complex, with 3 hours available to enjoy the volcanic water pools, known for their therapeutic properties, alongside views of the Cayambe volcano. You'll also have access to the steam caves and can purchase lunch at the on-site restaurant offering local dishes.

Afterwards, we will return to Quito, concluding the trip at your hotel after a total duration of 6 hours.
