Join us for an excursion from Quito exploring the Andean communities of Quilotoa, notable for its volcanic landscapes and traditional villages.
Tour Details
We will meet at your chosen location in Quito to begin the tour of the Andean communities of Quilotoa.
Our first destination is the Tigua region, home to small farming communities where we will discover local artistic talents, particularly those creating paintings on sheepskin.
Next, we will visit the community of Zumbahua, which offers views of the Toachi river canyon, formed by a geological fault.
The final stop will be the community of Quilotoa, known for the Quilotoa lagoon, often regarded as one of the most beautiful lakes. We will embark on a 45-minute hike to the lagoon, where you can relax or rent a kayak to explore the area.
After this, a delicious lunch including a starter, main course, and dessert will be served. You will then have free time to enjoy Quilotoa and the lagoon before concluding our 11-hour tour with a return to Quito.
