Join us on an excursion from Quito to explore the Andean communities of Quilotoa, known for its volcanic landscapes and traditional villages.

Description

We will meet at your selected point in Quito to start the tour of the Andean communities of Quilotoa.

First, we'll visit the Tigua region, where we will learn about the artistic talents of local inhabitants, particularly those creating paintings on sheepskin.

Next, we'll explore the community of Zumbahua, which offers magnificent views of the Toachi river canyon, formed by a geological fault.

Our final destination is the community of Quilotoa, home to the stunning Quilotoa lagoon. This lagoon, notable for its emerald green color, is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. We will embark on a 45-minute hike to the lagoon and have the opportunity to relax or rent a kayak.

Afterwards, we'll enjoy a delicious lunch with a starter, main course, and dessert. You will have free time to explore Quilotoa and its lagoon before concluding our 11-hour tour back to Quito.
