Join us on an excursion from Quito to explore the Andean communities of Quilotoa, showcasing volcanic landscapes and traditional villages.

Description

We will meet at your selected point in Quito to commence the tour of the Andean communities of Quilotoa.

First, we will visit the Tigua region, known for its small farming communities. Here, we will discover local artistic talents, particularly those who create paintings on sheepskin.

Our next stop will be the community of Zumbahua, where we will enjoy panoramic views of the Toachi river canyon, formed by a geological fault.

We will then proceed to Quilotoa, home to the renowned Quilotoa lagoon. This lagoon is noted for its emerald green color. We will embark on a 45-minute hike to the lagoon and may relax or rent a kayak for exploration.

After our hike, we will have a lunch with a starter, main course, and dessert. Following lunch, there will be free time to explore Quilotoa and its lagoon.

Our 11-hour tour will conclude with a return to Quito.
