Hiking to Arco del Coronadero

We'll gather at 9:15 am on Avenida de la Unión Europea in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. Our adventure begins with a 7 km trekking journey through the stunning ravines of southern Gran Canaria. The Arco del Coronadero is our destination!

As we traverse the trails of the Amurga Massif, we'll be surrounded by a variety of cacti and will have the chance to observe the remnants of ancient pre-Hispanic settlements. This trek provides insights into the island's earliest inhabitants as we stroll past historic caves and sacred sites.

Wandering through arid terrains and alongside the towering cliffs of the Barranco Hondo, or Deep Ravine, we will ultimately arrive at the Arco del Coronadero, a stunning natural rock formation that has captivated visitors for ages. Here, we'll learn about its geological history while enjoying opportunities for memorable photos.

After exploring the natural arch and soaking in the scenery, we will begin our return journey. The hiking excursion will conclude around 2 pm, bringing us back to our starting point in San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
