Las Palmas and Caldera de Bandama Day Trip

Delve into the rich history and powerful nature of Gran Canaria by visiting the Old Town of Las Palmas, the Botanical Garden, and the incomparable Caldera de Bandama.

Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from the meeting point in the south of Gran Canaria that you select. We'll head north towards Las Palmas to begin our guided walking tour of Vegueta, the historic center of the island's capital.

This area hosts the city’s oldest buildings, including the Casa de Colón. You'll stroll through the main square and explore the Cathedral of Santa Ana. Additional stops include the Gabinete Literario and the Pérez-Galdós Theatre.

After the 20-minute walking tour, you'll have 40 minutes of free time. Next, we'll travel by coach to Caldera de Bandama, stopping for around 15 minutes for photos. The crater measures 1,000 meters wide and 200 meters deep.

We'll then continue to the Viera y Clavija Botanical Gardens, where you will have 45 minutes to explore. This botanical space features species from Macaronesia.

Finally, we'll return to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, allowing time for lunch and visits to the Poema del Mar aquarium, Las Canteras Beach, Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, and Las Arenas Shopping Centre. Those who wish can stay in Las Palmas and end the tour here. We will return to the original starting point in the south after 9 hours.

Pickup services are not included for those staying in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Pickup is included for the following tourist zones in the south: Maspalomas, Agaete, Agüimes, Arguineguín, Bahía Feliz, Meloneras, Mogán, Playa del Inglés, Puerto de Mogán, Puerto Rico, Santa Brígida, Tejeda, and Veneguera.

Within these zones, hotel pickup is only for those in the designated hotels listed during booking. If your hotel is outside this area, please meet at 9:10 am at Hotel Parque Tropical in Maspalomas.
