Las Palmas and Caldera de Bandama Day Trip

Delve into the rich history and powerful nature of Gran Canaria by visiting the Old Town of Las Palmas, the Botanical Garden and the incomparable Caldera de Bandama.

Tour Details

At the scheduled time, pickup will occur from your selected meeting point in the south of Gran Canaria. From there, we will head north to begin the guided walking tour of Vegueta, the historic center of the island's capital.

This area features the city’s oldest buildings, including the Casa de Colón. You will stroll through the main square and explore the Cathedral of Santa Ana. The tour also includes visits to modern constructions such as the Gabinete Literario and the Pérez-Galdós Theatre.

The walking tour lasts around 20 minutes, followed by 40 minutes of free time. Next, we will travel by coach to Caldera de Bandama, where a 15-minute stop for photos will be provided. This crater measures 1,000 meters wide and 200 meters deep.

Afterward, we will continue to the Viera y Clvija Botanical Gardens, where you will have 45 minutes to explore. This garden showcases species from Macaronesia.

Finally, we will return to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for lunch and optional visits to the Poema del Mar aquarium, Las Canteras Beach, the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, and the Las Arenas Shopping Centre. Guests wishing to stay in Las Palmas can end their tour here. The tour concludes with the return to the starting point in the south after a total of 9 hours.

Pickup is included for the following tourist zones in the south of Gran Canaria: Maspalomas, Agaete, Agüimes, Arguineguín, Bahía Feliz, Meloneras, Mogán, Playa del Inglés, Puerto de Mogán, Puerto Rico, Santa Brígida, Tejeda, and Veneguera.

Within these zones, hotel pickup is included only for specific hotels listed during the booking process. If your hotel is outside this area, please meet us at 9:10 am at the Hotel Parque Tropical in Maspalomas.
