Explore vestiges of the Maya civilization with this day trip to Tikal National Park from Flores. The impressive temples in the Guatemalan jungle will captivate you.
Day Trip to Tikal
After picking you up at your hotel in Flores, we will commence our bus ride to Tikal National Park, located about an hour away. The significance of this site becomes clear upon entry into Tikal National Park, which features 3,000 structures excavated by archaeologists.
With our expert guide in Maya culture, you'll learn about the history of this ancient civilization that inhabited Mesoamerica. Key temples include the Temple of the Masks, Temple of the Great Jaguar, Temple of the Jaguar Priest, and the iconic Temple IV, the highest temple in Tikal.
While inside the park, we will enjoy a meal of vegetable soup as a first course, followed by chicken, beef, or pork, with rice or vegetables (vegetarian options available). A refreshing drink is also included. After the meal, you'll have free time to explore further.
Following your exploration of the Maya ruins, we will return by bus to your hotel in Flores, concluding the tour.
