Description
Meet us at the Tourist Information Office in Civic Center Square to begin our mountain adventure from Bariloche.
The adventure starts with a stroll through Bariloche's German Quarter. Leaving the city center, we will hike uphill along the slopes of Cerro Otto, taking in views of the mountains and lakes surrounding the city.
During the hike, we'll discuss the routes taken by Otto Meiling, who made an impact on this Argentine region. After about two hours of climbing a distance of 5 kilometers (3.1 miles), we will arrive at the Berghof refuge, initially his residence, which became the first ski center in South America.
We will also visit the Casa del Montañés Museum at the Berghof Lodge to deepen our understanding of Otto Meiling's legacy. After the museum visit, you will have free time to explore the refuge and have lunch at local restaurants.
After 4 hours of exploration, we will conclude our tour at the refuge. Private transportation can be arranged for your return trip to Bariloche if preferred.
