During this activity, we will hike to Cerro Otto, explore the Berghof refuge, and visit the Casa del Montañés museum. We will learn about the history of Otto Meiling, the German pioneer of this area.

Description

Meet us at the Tourist Information Office in Civic Center Square to start our mountain adventure from Bariloche.

Our adventure begins in Bariloche's German Quarter. We will leave the city center and hike uphill along the slopes of Cerro Otto. As we ascend, we will enjoy views of the surrounding mountains and lakes.

During the hike, we will share stories about the routes taken by Otto Meiling, who influenced this Argentine region. After approximately two hours of climbing, covering about 5 kilometers (3.1 miles), we will reach the Berghof refuge. Initially his residence, it became the first ski center in South America.

We will also visit the Casa del Montañés Museum at the Berghof Lodge, where we will explore Otto Meiling's history and his legacy in Bariloche. After the museum visit, there will be free time to explore the refuge and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

After 4 hours of exploration, we will conclude our tour at the refuge. Assistance will be provided for arranging private transportation back to Bariloche if preferred.
