Description
Meet us at the Tourism Information Office in Civic Center Plaza as we take off into Patagonia's storied history.
On this Bariloche tour, we'll uncover the origins of this Argentine region by exploring the stories of its pre-European colonization inhabitants, including the Patagonians, the Mapuches, and the Canoeros.
We will discuss who these indigenous peoples were and the customs that influenced their lives. Our journey will follow the footsteps of these communities, starting at the Civic Center and continuing to the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, significant for these cultures. We will encounter their sculptures and explore their symbolism.
Next, we'll visit the Church of Nuestra Señora del Nahuel Huapi to understand the connection between the indigenous peoples and the Catholic Church. Our tour continues to the Museum of Patagonia, which holds a collection of artifacts from Patagonian, Mapuche, and canoeist cultures. You can choose to enter the museum with our guide to examine these artifacts closely.
As we conclude the tour, we will return to the departure point after an hour and a half of historical insights.
