Discover the natural beauty of Patagonia with this trip to Tronador (Thundering) Volcano, named for the sounds made by ice breaking in the glaciers.

Description

The tour departs from Bariloche, traveling south alongside the Gutierrez and Mascardi lakes, showcasing the landscape of La Pampa, characterized by lakes, rivers, and the Andes mountains.

As the route progresses along the eastern coast of Mascardi Lake, a diversion leads to the heart of the Andes. This includes crossing a bridge over the Manso River and following the rapids, reaching the Piuke island viewpoint known for its heart-shaped appearance.

The tour continues through the Los Vuriloches Valley to Pampa Linda, a refuge at the mountain foothills where there will be free time for lunch. After lunch, we proceed to the foot of the Tronador Volcano, where you can view the Ventisquero Negro glacier or Lago Manso, with sightings of spectacular ice floes falling from the volcano.

After visiting the nearby impressive waterfalls, we return to Bariloche, completing the tour in approximately 9 hours.
