Activity Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Visitor Centre next to the Cruz del Carmen Hermitage to begin a fascinating hiking route through the so-called Forest of Enigmas in the Anaga Rural Park. This is the perfect place to get our bearings, discover what to see in this part of northern Tenerife, and understand how to get to the trails that wind through the mountains.

We'll set off on a 3-hour easy hike through the spectacular Anaga Rural Park. This exceptional natural area, declared a Nature Reserve in 2015, is one of the most stunning areas in the Canary Islands and is home to an incredible range of plants and wildlife.

On our hike, we'll head through its famous laurel forests in the heart of the Anaga mountain range. Accompanied by a local guide, we'll learn lots of interesting facts about the plant species we spot along the way. In fact, it is the ecosystem with the highest number of native species in Europe.

After 3 hours of admiring the impressive variety of plants and wildlife in Anaga, we'll head back to the meeting point to end our unforgettable hike.

If you opt for this choice, we can either:

Pick you up in Puerto de la Cruz (taxi stand in Plaza del Charco) one hour before the activity starts.Pick you up in Garachico (Plaza de la Libertad) one and a half hours before the activity starts.

Please note that this option with transportation is only available on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Children Under 5 Years Old

Although they're allowed to do the route accompanied by their parents or guardians, this activity isn't recommended for children under 5 years of age. Parents are also allowed to take children under 2 years of age with them, but they must be carried in a baby carrier.
