On this tour of Liberty Station in San Diego, you will discover the history of the US Navy at a former naval training center. We will meet at Liberty Public Market at the indicated time.

After a brief introduction, we'll walk through what was once Camp Paul Jones at Point Loma, learning about the experience of becoming a sailor in the US Navy.

Next, we will visit the old dispensary, where recruits received medical attention. Other destinations at Liberty Station include the Sail Ho golf course and the WAVES barracks, where women trained for the Volunteer Emergency Service in 1943.

We will pass by buildings from the naval base until we reach the Command Center, featuring an exhibition on the lives of enlisted men.

The tour will also include visits to Ingram Plaza, Boats Memorial, and Preble Field.

After 2.5 hours of exploring the naval history of San Diego, we will return to the starting point to conclude the tour.
