Cueva del Indio + Páramo Tour

The region of Santander is full of tradition and exotic nature. We'll discover the iconic Cueva del Indio. We'll tour the cave, greet the bats and enjoy a dip in the natural pool.

Description

After we've picked you up from your hotel, we'll leave Barichara and head into the countryside of Santander. After 3.5 hours, we'll arrive at the Cueva del Indio.

Ready to descend to 80 metres (262 feet)? Once we've gone down, we'll begin exploring the first room. The bats will inhabit this area. We'll continue through the cave, and among rocky walls, we'll reach a chamber with warm water.

During our exploration, we'll see stalagmites and stalactites. We will slide through the rocks and navigate tunnels. The trek will also take us to natural pools, where participants may jump 10 metres (32 feet) into fresh water.

After leaving the cave, we'll return to the motorway. However, the day will not end here. During our journey back, we'll make a stop at Páramo to discover the town, offering a blend of landscapes and colonial estates.

Pickup

We'll pick you up from your accommodation in either San Gil or Barichara. If you're in Barichara, pickup will be 30 minutes after San Gil.
