Chianti Wine Tour

On our Chianti Wine Tour from San Gimignano, we'll see vineyard landscapes, taste regional wines and visit villages in the Chianti Valley.

Tour Details

We will pick you up at Piazzale Montemaggio and board a minibus to explore the Chianti Valley.

First, we'll visit Castellina in Chianti and have free time to explore this town, its churches, and its castle, La Rocca.

Next, we'll stop at a winery for a guided tour of its facilities and vineyards. During this tour, we will learn about the stages of preparation of Chianti wine, including the grapes Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Afterwards, we will enjoy a tasting of Chianti wine accompanied by Italian cured meats.

The tour includes a visit to a second winery where we will sample varieties of Chianti Valley wine and appetizers. Additionally, we will taste olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Before returning to San Gimignano, we will stop in Monteriggioni, a medieval village. After six hours of sightseeing, we will drop you off at the meeting point in San Gimignano.
