How is the most popular Emilia-Romagna product made? All will be revealed on this tour of the Piadina Experience Rimini Museum guided tour, where you'll also enjoy a delicious tasting.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the main entrance to the Piadina Experience to begin our guided visit around this famous foodie museum, located in the suburbs of Rimini.
The piadina, a flatbread made with wheat flour, usually stuffed with ham and other foods, is one of the most popular Emilia-Romagna products. The tour begins by learning about the origins of the piadina, which dates back to the Neolithic age.
We will discover how this bread became popular, with a traditional recipe passed down through generations. The visit includes the Piadinia e Motori room, highlighting the passion of the Romagnones for both piadina and motor racing competitions.
After this section, we'll head to the tasting room to try a delicious piadina. The tour continues around the Piadina Experience Museum and the Magic Room, focusing on the alchemical secrets of wheat and other piadina ingredients.
Lastly, we will walk through the Panoramic Tunnel to observe the preparation phases of making the piadina: dough preparation, resting, and baking at varying temperatures. The tour also highlights how modern technology accelerates the process while maintaining tradition and quality. Our guided visit concludes after 1.5 hours at the starting point.
