Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the main entrance to the Piadina Experience to begin our guided visit around this renowned foodie museum, located in the suburbs of Rimini.
The piadina, a flatbread made with wheat flour, typically stuffed with ham and other ingredients, is a significant Emilia-Romagna product. Our museum tour will start by exploring the origins of the piadina from the Neolithic age.
We will progress through the tour, uncovering how this bread achieved its popularity, with a traditional recipe passed down through generations in Emilia-Romagna. The visit includes the Piadinia e Motori room, highlighting the regional passion for both the piadina and motor racing competitions.
After this section, we will proceed to the tasting room to try a piadina. Following the tasting, we will continue our exploration of the Piadina Experience Museum and the Magic Room, where we will learn about the alchemical secrets of wheat and piadina ingredients.
Lastly, we will walk through the Panoramic Tunnel to observe the various preparation phases for making the piadina: preparing the dough, resting, and baking at different temperatures. This tour will also demonstrate how modern technology can enhance the process while preserving tradition and quality. The guided visit will conclude after 1.5 hours where it started.
