If you're passionate about nature, this day trip from San José will take you to the Arenal Volcano. Afterwards, you can relax in the famous Baldi hot springs—a unique experience in Costa Rica!
Arenal Volcano & Baldi Hot Springs Tour
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in San José. From there, we'll depart for one of the most beautiful natural areas of Costa Rica.
First, we'll stop to visit the town of Sarchí, considered to be the birthplace of Costa Rican handicrafts. After this stop, we'll drive through pineapple and mango plantations to the entrance of the Arenal Volcano National Park, located just outside La Fortuna.
Here, we'll enjoy lunch in a traditional restaurant. The menu includes beef, chicken or fish, vegetables, salad, rice and beans, pasta and vegetable stew, plus dessert and local fruit juice.
During lunch, we'll have views of the volcano, which last erupted on July 29, 1968, and has since been producing gases and steam, making it the most active volcano in Costa Rica.
Following this, we'll enjoy a relaxing bath in the Baldi hot springs, created by the Arenal and surrounded by tropical gardens. At the end of the day, we'll have a buffet dinner at Baldi.
After dinner, you'll return to your hotel in San José, arriving 15 hours after pickup.
