Crocodile Safari along the Tarcoles River
Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in San Jose at 7 am as we head towards the Tarcoles River to encounter some fascinating reptiles!
After about an hour's drive, we will reach the Tarcoles River, which is one of the four rivers that flow into the Gulf of Nicoya. Once there, we will board a boat and venture out to observe the crocodiles! Did you know that this region is home to one of the largest crocodile populations in the world?
During our two-hour boat ride, you will learn all about these magnificent creatures. Some can grow up to five meters long, an impressive sight!
Additionally, we will explore the Guacalillo Estuary, where you can witness a remarkable ecosystem featuring four distinct types of mangroves. To conclude our outing, we will indulge in a delicious traditional lunch at the South Beach Hotel in Jacó, followed by a well-deserved break.
