Immerse yourself in the culture and traditions of Costa Rica on this full-day tour: learn about coffee at Hacienda Doka, explore picturesque Grecia, and admire the handmade oxcarts in Sarchí.

Doka Coffee Plantation, Grecia & Sarchí Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel in the morning and head to Hacienda Doka, one of the largest coffee plantations in Costa Rica. Discover the "golden beans" as we ascend to 1,350 meters (4,429 feet) to experience the coffee production process.

After a guided tour of the Doka plantation, enjoy a lunch featuring Costa Rican specialties that includes a salad, rice and beans, meat, dessert, and a drink. Refreshed, we'll travel to Grecia, nestled in the Cordillera Central, known for its coffee and sugarcane plantations and beautiful textiles.

Exploring Grecia, you'll see the Church of Our Lady of Mercy, made entirely of red steel plates and dating back to the 19th century, followed by a visit to the Central Market to experience local life.

The tour continues to Sarchí, a town recognized as the birthplace of Costa Rican craftwork. See artisans creating traditional handicrafts, including the famous Sarchí oxcarts, crafted from wood and decorated with colorful designs. You'll view the biggest oxcart in the world, a national symbol.

After a day filled with culture, we'll return to your hotel in San Jose, approximately 8 hours later.
