Doka Coffee Plantation, Grecia & Sarchí Tour

The tour begins with a morning pickup from your hotel, followed by a visit to Hacienda Doka, one of the largest coffee plantations in Costa Rica, located at 1,350 meters (4,429 feet) altitude. You'll learn about the coffee production process.

After the guided tour, enjoy a lunch of Costa Rican specialties, including salad, rice and beans, meat, dessert, and a drink. The next destination is Grecia, known for its coffee and sugarcane plantations and beautiful textiles. Here, visit the Church of Our Lady of Mercy, a unique 19th-century building made entirely of red-painted steel plates and an example of Neo-Gothic architecture. Proceed to the Central Market for a glimpse of local life.

Next, explore Sarchí, the birthplace of Costa Rican craftwork, famous for Sarchí oxcarts handcrafted from wood and decorated with colorful designs. You will see the biggest oxcart in the world, regarded as a national symbol.

After a culturally rich day, return to your hotel in San Jose, approximately 8 hours later.
