Pickup is at 6:30 am from your hotel in San José. We will travel on the Pan-American Highway to Poas Volcano National Park.

We will pass through Alajuela, taking a panoramic route to see the Monument to Agriculture, Monument to San Juan Santamaría, and Mango Park.

Breakfast includes traditional dishes such as gallo pinto with egg, cheese, ripe plantain, yucca chorriada, tortilla aliñada, and gallos with meat, cheese, and picadillo.

Next, we will explore the coffee plantations and farms filled with ferns, flowers, and strawberries before heading to the crater of the volcano. As we ascend, you will notice a change in temperature. At the viewpoint, enjoy the view of the mile-wide crater.

We will return to the minibus and drop you off at your hotel in San José at 1 pm.
