Pickup from your hotel in San José is at 6:30 am. We will travel via the Pan-American Highway to the Poas Volcano National Park.

On the way, we will pass through Alajuela for a panoramic view of the Monument to Agriculture, the Monument to San Juan Santamaría, and Mango Park.

A traditional breakfast will be served, featuring gallo pinto with egg, cheese, ripe plantain, yucca chorriada, tortilla aliñada, and gallos with meat, cheese, and picadillo.

After breakfast, we will continue to the coffee plantations and farms, observing the diverse flora. As we ascend the volcano, you will notice a temperature change. At the viewpoint, you will see the impressive mile-wide crater.

The trip concludes with a return to your hotel in San José by 1 pm.
