Embark on a memorable 2 or 3-day journey through the enchanting Tortuguero National Park, where the lush landscapes of Costa Rica await and you will experience a night in a distinctive jungle lodge.

Description

Day 1

Your adventure commences with a convenient pickup from your accommodation for a 2-day exploration of Tortuguero National Park, one of the most breathtaking destinations in Costa Rica.

Our first pause will be in Guápiles for a revitalizing breakfast. Energized, we will then continue to La Pavona dock, where a boat will await to guide us along the Suerte River.

As we navigate the waters, you'll be captivated by the stunning scenery that defines the rivers of Costa Rica. The journey leads us to the Tortuguero River, where we will arrive at our lodge around noon, nestled in the heart of the lush jungle.

After settling in your accommodations, we'll gather at the restaurant for a hearty lunch. The afternoon will take us to Tortuguero village, where you'll experience the unique charm and traditional lifestyle of a Costa Rican jungle settlement, witnessing the integral bond between locals and sea turtles.

We will conclude the day by returning to the lodge for some relaxation followed by dinner.

Day 2

At dawn, we’ll set off for Tortuguero National Park to uncover its natural treasures. From observing the beach where turtles nest to admiring the diverse flora and fauna, you'll explore the largest wetlands in the nation.

Upon concluding our park visit, we’ll head back to the lodge for a complete breakfast. After this, we will check out and make our way back to the La Pavona dock.

Finally, we’ll ensure you are returned to your hotel around midday.

3-day tour

If you wish to extend your experience with an extra night at the lodge in Tortuguero, consider booking the 3-day tour. Following breakfast on the second day, we will revisit Tortuguero National Park.

Lunch will be served at the lodge before we embark on a hike through the region's scenic trails, gardens, and beaches, spending the day immersed in nature.

On the final day, breakfast will precede your return to the hotel, marking the conclusion of your Tortuguero National Park tour.

Accommodation

This tour encompasses either 1 or 2 nights of all-inclusive accommodation at the Laguna Lodge in Tortuguero. Please note that reservations for an odd number of guests will incur an additional fee for a single room.

Choosing the San José option means pickup will occur between 5:30 and 6:45 am.Opting for Guápiles will see you collected from the Restaurante Senderos Río Blanco at 10:30 am.
