Tortuguero National Park Trip
After picking you up at your hotel, we'll travel with a natural scientist guide to Braulio Carrillo National Park, an area with a diverse forest and waterfalls. At over 3,000 metres high, we will view the Barva Volcano and see some of the more than 135 animal species in the park.
We will stop for a typical Costa Rican breakfast, featuring eggs and gallo pinto, made from beans and rice, along with juice and coffee.
Next, we will visit banana plantations to learn about the growth and exportation of this important product, alongside chocolate and coffee.
Subsequently, we will board a boat to cruise through Tortuguero National Park, known for its rich biological diversity. The park is home to the green turtle, manatees, sea cows, and crocodiles, as well as endangered mammals like sloths, monkeys, and white-nosed coatis.
At lunchtime, we will enjoy a buffet-style menu with salads, meat, garnish, dessert, coffee, and drinks.
After lunch, we will visit the village of Tortuguero, where only cycling and walking are permitted, and see popular bars and restaurants among residents.
At the end of the trip, we will return to your hotel in San José.
