On this excursion, we'll visit the Turrialba and Irazú volcanos and take a stroll around both national parks. Did you know that they are the highest craters in the country?

Description

Being in Costa Rica and not visiting at least one volcano is a missed opportunity. The country has imposing craters with landscapes worth exploring. We'll pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time and take you on a trip to the Turrialba and Irazú volcanos.

We will first head to the Irazú Volcano National Park in Cartago. Over an hour, we will hike around the outskirts of the crater. Irazú features 5 craters and is surrounded by low vegetation that blends well with the mountainous setting. We will climb to the top, and if the day is clear, we'll see views of both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.

After our hike, you will have an hour of free time for lunch at a nearby restaurant. Following lunch, we will proceed to the Turrialba Volcano National Park, one of the most active volcanos in the country. Although we won't go to the top of its crater, we will walk around the outskirts where we may see waterfalls formed in its forests, dependent on weather conditions.

Finally, after around 8 to 10 hours, we will return to the hotel, concluding the tour.
