Journey through Jachal, Rodeo, and Pismanta
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in San Juan at 8 am, as we set off toward the northern part of the province, where breathtaking landscapes await.
The first destination is the city of San José de Jáchal, characterized by its spacious adobe structures, winding streets, and charming colonial buildings from the 18th century. During our visit, we will also explore the Archdiocesan Sanctuary, a recognized National Historical Monument, and view the renowned Cristo Negro (Black Christ), crafted from local leather.
Continuing along National Route 150, we will ascend into the scenic foothills, a zone rich in biodiversity. Here, you will have the opportunity to observe indigenous wildlife, including llamas. The tour will progress alongside the famed Cuesta del Viento dam.
Our next stop will be the village of Rodeo, the principal settlement in the Iglesia region. You will have an hour to enjoy lunch (not included) in this delightful town within San Juan province. Discover the origins of its name during your time here. After lunch, we’ll proceed to the Pismanta hot springs, where we will discuss their therapeutic qualities.
On our return journey to San Juan, we will traverse the lovely towns of Las Flores and Bella Vista. This route also includes a visit to the highest point: Mount Colorado.
We will conclude our day by returning to your hotel in San Juan, with an expected arrival around 6 pm.
