Talampaya National Park Trip
Pickup from your hotel in San Juan is at 7 am. The tour follows National Route 150, traveling through La Rioja to Talampaya National Park.
Upon arrival at this protected area, an off-road truck will be used for a tour through the National Park. The journey includes exploration of the Talampaya canyons, allowing opportunities for photography of its landscapes.
During the truck tour, participants will view the famous sandstone walls and archaeological and paleontological remains found throughout the 20th century, with explanations provided about their origins as the group travels through the plains between canyons.
Key geological formations observed will include the Friar, Wizard King, Cathedral, Chess Board, Needles, Manger, and Castle, shaped by thousands of years of weathering.
After three-and-a-half hours at Talampaya, the return journey begins with a stop at a nearby restaurant, allowing one hour for lunch.
Concluding the tour, return to your hotel in San Juan is expected by 9 pm.
