Valle de Calingasta Trip
At 7 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in San Juan and head to the first stop at the Cerro Villicum hill. Enjoy breathtaking views before continuing to the town of Talacasto and the Quebrada de las Burras gorge. After passing this feature, we will reach the beautiful Calingasta Valley and the picturesque town of Barreal, where you will have one hour for lunch (not included).
After lunch, we will proceed to El Leoncito National Park, known for its stunning Andean landscapes. During our visit, we will discuss the native fauna, particularly the suri cordillerano and the guanaco.
Next, we will visit the Astronomical Observatory of El Leoncito to learn about celestial studies conducted at this center that benefits from clear skies free of light pollution. Our last stop will be at Cerro Alcázar hill for panoramic views from the summit.
Finally, we will return to your hotel in San Juan, arriving at 6 pm.
