Explore the beautiful landscapes of Valle de Calingasta with this fantastic trip from San Juan. You will discover one of Argentina’s most unique wilderness areas.

Valle de Calingasta Trip

At 7 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in San Juan and head to the first stop at the Cerro Villicum hill, where the views will be spectacular.

We will continue the tour by passing through the town of Talacasto and the Quebrada de las Burras gorge. Upon passing this geographical feature, we will arrive at Calingasta Valley, where the town of Barreal is located. You will have one hour free for lunch (not included).

After lunch, we will travel from Barreal to El Leoncito National Park, known for its impressive landscapes. During the tour of the park, we will provide information about the native fauna, primarily the suri cordillerano and guanaco.

Next, we will visit the Astronomical Observatory of El Leoncito, where we will learn about the study of celestial bodies at this research center, which takes advantage of the area's clear skies. Our last stop will be at Cerro Alcázar hill for panoramic views from the summit.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in San Juan, arriving at 6 pm.
