Armadillo Ghost Town Hiking Tour
We'll pick you up at 8:30 am at your hotel in San Luis Potosi and drive to Armadillo de los Infante, named after the Infante family who introduced the first printing press to the town.
During the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, this municipality experienced significant growth. However, early in the 20th century, the Mexican Revolution affected San Luis Potosí, leading to Armadillo becoming a ghost town. Would you like to discover its remains?
We will hike 9.7 kilometers (6 miles) to uncover the abandoned buildings and monuments of Armadillo. This simple hike will cross stretches between 134 and 148 meters (436 and 485 feet), revealing the town's forgotten history.
At the end of the hike, we will go to the 1600 Restaurante for lunch, where you can enjoy dishes from Potosí gastronomy, combining pre-Columbian and colonial cuisine.
After lunch, we will return to your hotel in San Luis Potosi, arriving around 5:30 pm.
