Armadillo Ghost Town Hiking Tour
We will pick you up at 8:30 am at your hotel in San Luis Potosi and drive to Armadillo de los Infante, named after the family that introduced the first printing press to the town.
During the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, Armadillo flourished. However, at the beginning of the 20th century, the Mexican Revolution transformed it into a ghost town. Would you like to discover its remains?
We will embark on a 9.7-kilometre (6 miles) hiking route to explore the abandoned buildings and monuments of Armadillo. This simple hike includes elevations between 134 and 148 metres (436 and 485 feet) and will reveal the town's forgotten history.
After the hike, we will visit the 1600 Restaurante to enjoy traditional dishes of Potosí gastronomy, blending pre-Columbian and colonial influences.
Following lunch, we will return to your hotel in San Luis Potosi, arriving at 5:30 pm.
