Armadillo Ghost Town Hiking Tour

Pickup is at 8:30 am from your hotel in San Luis Potosí for a drive to Armadillo de los Infante, named after the Infante family, who brought the first printing press to the area.

From the 17th to 19th centuries, the municipality was prosperous. However, the onset of the Mexican Revolution in the early 20th century led to its abandonment, turning Armadillo into a ghost town.

The hiking route is 9.7 kilometers (6 miles) long, featuring abandoned buildings and monuments of Armadillo. This simple hike involves elevations between 134 and 148 meters (436 and 485 feet), allowing participants to uncover the town's forgotten history.

After the hike, lunch will be at 1600 Restaurante, where you can enjoy dishes from Potosí gastronomy, showcasing pre-Columbian and colonial cuisine.

Return to your hotel in San Luis Potosí is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
