Explore the ancient depths of Laguna de la Media Luna with this diving activity from San Luis Potosí. The famous Mammoth Lake awaits!

Diving in Laguna de la Media Luna

At 7 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in San Luis Potosí and travel to Laguna de la Media Luna, located in Rio Verde. After a 90-minute drive, we will arrive at the Media Luna diving school for a required course on diving safety and preparation for the dive.

Upon readiness, we will head to the lagoon and set up with the necessary equipment. The dive will be approximately 40 minutes, featuring sights such as petrified trees, caves, and unique marine animals.

Additionally, we will observe the remains of two mammoth skeletons, which is why this location is known as Mammoth Lake. These ancient remains have been preserved due to the karst origin of the lagoon. The lake has an average temperature of about 20ºC (60ºF) and reaches depths of up to 36.7 meters (120 feet).

After our dive, we will have a snack to regain energy and continue enjoying the lake with swimming and exploration. At 3 pm, we will have a delicious lunch before returning to the city.

We will conclude the diving activity by dropping you off at your hotel in San Luis Potosí at 7 pm.
