4-Day Huasteca Potosina Expedition

Day 1: Arrival in San Luis Potosí - Transfer to Xilitla

Upon your arrival at the San Luis Potosí International Airport, our team will be ready to greet you in the arrivals area. From there, we’ll embark on a scenic 5-hour drive to the hotel where we will be staying for the night.

Day 2: Discovering Xilitla - Journey to Ciudad Valle

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel in Xilitla. Afterwards, we will visit the Edward James Sculpture Garden, a remarkable site featuring over 30 sculptures that reflect Gothic and Egyptian artistic influences. As you navigate the intriguing stairways that lead to nowhere and explore the captivating castles, houses, and columns, we will share the story of this extraordinary location.

Next, our journey continues to the heart of Xilitla, where a visit to the Leonora Carrington Sculpture Museum awaits. This museum honors one of Mexico's most esteemed artists, renowned in the surrealist movement. We will discuss the various sculptures, jewelry, engravings, and personal artifacts displayed throughout the museum.

In the afternoon, you will have some free time to wander the charming streets of Xilitla and enjoy lunch at a local eatery. Afterward, we will make our way to Ciudad Valles for hotel check-in. Wishing you a restful night!

Day 3: Ciudad Valles - Tamasopo - Return to San Luis Potosí

Following breakfast at our hotel in Ciudad Valles, we will travel to the Bridge of God. Here, you’ll encounter a stunning cave adorned with stalactites and stalagmites, alongside a turquoise water eye where you can unwind.

Your adventure will then take us to the Tamasopo Waterfalls, encircled by lush nature. As we take in the breathtaking vistas, the tranquil sound of water cascading from a height of 65 feet (20 meters) will envelop us. After exploring this natural wonder, you’ll have free time for lunch at your convenience.

We will then return to our accommodations in San Luis Potosí.

Day 4: Exploring San Luis Potosí

On our final day, breakfast will be served at the hotel in San Luis Potosí, followed by a guided visit to the Leonora Carrington Museum. This captivating space is housed within the Centro de Artes, a historic former penitentiary dating back to the 19th century.

At 1 pm, we will arrange your return to the airport in time for your departure flight. Safe travels!
