Real de Catorce Day Trip

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in San Luis Potosí. From there, we'll set off to the Magic Town of Real de Catorce up in the mountains.

After crossing the high plateau of Potosí, dominated by cacti and palm trees, we'll head into the heart of the Sierra de Catorce and make our way up to the Ogarrio Tunnel. Upon arrival, we'll take a guided tour through the main attractions of this old mining town.

In one of the galleries where miners extracted silver, an aquifer was discovered, leading to flooding and ultimately the closure of the silver mine. As a result, the town was abandoned due to the lack of economic activity.

During the day trip, you'll have 1 hour of free time for lunch. We'll continue by walking through the streets of Real de Catorce to reach the Casa de la Moneda, the first mint founded in Mexico.

Next, we'll walk through the Plaza de Armas and visit the Church of the Purísima Concepción, where the image of San Francisco is venerated.

We'll return you to your hotel in San Luis Potosí and drop you off 12 hours later.
