Tamul Waterfall & Cueva del Agua Excursion

Visit the largest waterfall in the state of San Luis Potosí on this excursion to the Tamul waterfall. Enjoy a boat ride on the Tampaón River and have the opportunity to swim in the famous Cueva del Agua.

Tamul Waterfall & Cueva del Agua Excursion

Pick-up from your hotel in San Luis Potosí will be at 6:45 am, followed by a minibus trip to Tanchachín, approximately four hours away.

Upon arrival, we will head to the Tampaón River and board a boat for a ride to the Tamul waterfall. Enjoy the surrounding vegetation and the sounds of local birds during the journey.

At the base of the waterfall, which exceeds 100 meters (328 feet) in height, we will discuss its formation and the legends associated with this natural monument. The name Tamul translates to 'place of pitchers' in Teenek.

The boat ride will continue to Cueva del Agua, where you will have an hour of free time to swim in the cave, which has a depth of 45 meters (147 feet) and vibrant sapphire blue waters.

After swimming, there will be another hour for lunch at a restaurant in Tanchachín before we return to San Luis Potosí. The excursion will conclude at 8 pm, bringing you back to your hotel.
