Tamul Waterfall & Cueva del Agua Excursion

Pickup at your hotel in San Luis Potosí is at 6:45 am, followed by a minibus journey to Tanchachín, approximately four hours away.

Upon arrival, we’ll head to the Tampaón River, where you will board a boat for a ride to the Tamul waterfall. Enjoy the surrounding vegetation and the sounds of local birds.

At the base of these waterfalls, exceeding 100 meters (328 feet) in height, you will have the opportunity for photos. An explanation about the formation of this site and its associated legends will be provided during the visit. Tamul translates to 'place of pitchers' in the Teenek language.

The boat ride will take you to the entrance of Cueva del Agua, where you will have an hour of free time to swim in the cave, which is 45 meters (147 feet) deep, featuring striking sapphire blue waters.

After swimming, you will have one hour for lunch at a restaurant in Tanchachín before the return trip to San Luis Potosí. The excursion concludes at 8 pm, with drop-off back at your hotel.
