Villa de Merlo and La Toma Day Trip

At 7:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Potrero de los Funes and head to La Toma.

In this small town, we'll visit the museum and workshop dedicated to onyx marble crafts, observing the manual techniques passed down through generations.

From La Toma, we'll continue the excursion through the Conlara Valley. Located at the foot of this picturesque valley is Villa de Merlo. Here, we will explore the Rincón and Rincón del Este neighborhoods, ideal for viewing the Mogote Bayo Provincial Nature Reserve.

The tour will proceed to the Dos Venados Casino, which features a unique sundial at its entrance. We will then visit the Piedra Blanca sites, the birthplace of poet Antonio Esteban Agüero, and see the "algarrobo abuelo", the oldest carob tree in San Luis province.

After learning about this legendary tree, we'll return to the historic center of Villa de Merlo, where you'll have one hour for lunch. The return to your hotel in Potrero de los Funes will be at 4:30 pm.
