Villa de Merlo and La Toma Day Trip

At 7:30 am, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Potrero de los Funes and head to La Toma.

In La Toma, you'll visit the museum and workshop dedicated to onyx marble crafts, learning about the manual techniques passed down through generations.

The excursion continues through the Conlara Valley to Villa de Merlo. You'll explore the Rincón and Rincón del Este neighborhoods, which provide views of the Mogote Bayo Provincial Nature Reserve.

The tour proceeds to the Dos Venados Casino, notable for its sundial at the entrance. You'll then visit the outskirts of Villa de Merlo, including the Piedra Blanca sites, the birthplace of poet Antonio Esteban Agüero, and the "algarrobo abuelo", the oldest carob tree in San Luis.

After learning about the history of this tree, you'll return to the historic center of Villa de Merlo for one hour free for lunch. Following lunch, you'll return to your hotel in Potrero de los Funes, arriving at 4:30 pm.
