Day Trip to Villa La Angostura & Villa Traful
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel at 8:30 am, after which we’ll set out via National Route 234. During the 90-minute ride covering 115 kilometers (71.5 miles) through untouched forests and sparkling rivers, you'll experience the iconic Seven Lakes Road, passing by the serene Lakes Machónico, Falkner, Villarino, Escondido, Correntoso, Espejo, and Nahuel Huapi.
By noon, we will reach our first stop, Villa La Angostura. Here, take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront and visit the El Messidor Residence, an elegant French-style castle nestled in nature. You will have free time to savor lunch at your leisure before continuing our journey along Seven Lakes Road.
On our return trip, we will revisit Espejo and Correntoso lakes and take a scenic detour to Villa Traful. We will explore this quaint mountain village rich in culture and venture into a coihue forest.
Finally, we will ascend to the Mirador del Viento, a 70-meter-high (225-foot) cliff that provides a spectacular panoramic view of the breathtaking Patagonian landscape. We will conclude the day with a return to San Martin de los Andes by 7 pm, ensuring you are safely back at your accommodation.
