Day Trip to Yuco, Chachín Waterfall & Hua Hum
Pickup from your hotel in downtown San Martín de los Andes is scheduled for 2 pm. We will travel northwest towards the Neuquén province, passing through the Valdivian rainforest. This area features diverse plant species found in Lanín National Park.
Continuing along Provincial Route 48, we will reach Trompul, inhabited by the Curruhuinca Mapuche community. We will visit the Piedra de Trompul, a notable standalone rock with a naturally formed face, offering views of Lake Lácar and the Chapelco and Abanico mountains.
Next, we will explore the Yuco peninsula, noted for its two small bays with volcanic sand and surrounded by myrtle trees reflected in the emerald waters.
Our tour concludes at Hua Hum, located at the Argentina-Chile border in northwest Lake Lácar. Here, you will see the Christ of Peace, a wooden statue from Easter Island artisans. A short hike leads to the Chachin waterfall, a stunning 30-meter (100-foot) waterfall in the Valdivian rainforest, marking a perfect end to the trip.
We will return to the center of San Martín de los Andes around 7 pm to drop you back at your hotel.
